Valve will lease out a multi-purpose cleaner to its own employees and rent out its own air cleaners to tenants.
The new company, Valve Air Cleaners, said Wednesday that it will lease air cleaners from its offices to tenants for about $1,200 per month.
The lease includes a 30-day payment period.
The company also said it will be the first to offer its own cleaning services, starting with its own indoor cleaner and a multi purpose cleaner.
The $1.3 million air cleaner and cleaning services contract is part of a $1 billion effort to transform the company into a “digital-first” company that offers its services for the Internet of Things and the Internet-of-things-as-a-service industry, said Valve President and COO Mark Rubin.
The air cleaner has a 12-foot capacity, the company said.
The multi purpose cleaners, which will be manufactured by Valve, will have 12-feet capacity and cost $1 million each, Valve said.
Valve said it was hiring a new director of operations.
The company said it has about 250 employees worldwide.
